4월 세미나: 미·중 “무역전쟁”과 미 무역제재에 대한 한국 기업의 대응 방안
미국과 중국의 “무역전쟁”이 본격화 되면서, 한국 기업들이 도전과 기회에 직면해 있습니다.
더욱이 트럼프 정부의 무역 제재 조치는 계속해서 강화되고 있습니다. 특히 최근 철강 및 세탁기 등에 대한 제재 조치와 더불어 반덤핑, 상계관세 조치 또한 계속되고 있습니다. 한국 정부도 세탁기와 태양광 패널에 대한 미국의 세이프 가드에 맞서 연간 5억불의 보복 관세를 부과하기로 했습니다.
이같이 불확실한 무역 환경 속에서 본 회의소는 워싱턴 DC 소재 ‘국제 무역’ 전문 대형 로펌 전문가들을 초청해, 관련 전망을 분석하고 한국 기업의 대응방안에 대해 설명하고자 합니다. 많은 참석 바라겠습니다.

Mr. Donald B. Cameron, Jr.
Partner, International Trade, Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP
Mr. Cameron has over three decades of experience representing multinational businesses, foreign trade associations and U.S. importers in litigation under U.S. antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguards law.He has represented foreign producers and importers in sectors such as footwear, lumber, textiles, electronic products, and steel products. He practices regularly before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Cameron also advised the Government of Korea in the successful WTO challenges to the U.S. safeguard actions on line pipe and certain steel products (AB-2001-9 and AB-2003-3).
Mr. William H. Barringer
Secial Counsel in International Trade Practice, Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP
Mr. Barringer has over 30 years of experience representing companies in trade disputes involving steel, automobiles, film, textiles, aquaculture and agricultural products, lumber, motorcycles, outboard motors and a broad range of electronic and computer-related products. His practice includes defending foreign interests in trade remedy investigations (antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguard investigations), and his clientele includes government and private sector interests in China, Vietnam, Japan, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Europe, Russia and the United States.
