About KOCHAM Chairman Greeting Organization Chart The Executive Committee Membership Direction Business Directory

Greetings to all members and colleagues!

On behalf of KOCHAM, I am very pleased to announce that our website has been recently reorganized with new and updated content and styles. I hope that it would provide ground for the exchange of useful information among our member companies and other related business entities.

KOCHAM, which was founded in June 1992 as a national non-profit organization, now represents over 300 U.S.-based Korean business entities doing business in the United States. Our membership includes major Korean corporations, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations operating in a wide range of sectors. It also includes honorable members such as locally based attorneys, accountants, and other service professionals who are connected with businesses in Korea.

We provide monthly seminars, luncheon speeches, and business-oriented workshops with specialized outstanding outside speakers in order for member companies to cope effectively with the continuously changing business environments in the U.S. as well as sending daily e-mail news. Our member companies have experienced the difficulties of doing business in the United States. In order to resolve these problems, KOCHAM has sent an annual delegation to Washington, D.C., to visit various governmental agencies. We also host an annual KOCHAM Dinner Party and Golf Tournament to encourage socializing with members, governmental agencies, and media representatives. We also operate the Weekend Korean School, which is programmed for the children of our member executives as well as their Korean American peers. In addition, for our close cooperation with the Korean community, we provide an annual internship program for college students of second generation Korean community.

As KOCHAM's chairman, I would like to express my deep appreciation to all our members for their continuous and strong support for KOCHAM and I sincerely hope that this new website will be very helpful to our member companies and friends. I cordially expect that all member companies will prosper in the future. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Ma Young Nam, chairman
