Welcome to the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the USA, Inc. (KOCHAM).

KOCHAM, which was founded in June 1992 as a national non-profit organization, now represents over 300 U.S.-based Korean business entities doing business in the United States. Our membership includes major Korean corporations, financial institutions, and non-profit organizations operating in a wide range of sectors. It also includes honorable members such as locally based attorneys, accountants, and other service professionals who are connected with businesses in Korea.

As the most prominent representative of U.S.-based Korean subsidiary firms, KOCHAM fulfills a multi-faceted aim. In addition to supporting locally-based Korean executives to provide the members with practical information and to promote friendly relations among the members, KOCHAM is active in the development of "corporate diplomacy" initiatives to build economic cooperation and to advance closer relations between the people and the business communities of Korea and the United States.

KOCHAM has several important roles for our members. We have promoted various events such as monthly seminars, luncheon speeches, and business-oriented workshops with specialized outstanding outside speakers in order for member companies to cope effectively with the continuously changing business environments in the U.S. as well as sending daily e-mail news. Our member companies have experienced the difficulties of doing business in the United States. In order to resolve these problems, KOCHAM has sent an annual delegation to Washington, D.C., to visit various governmental agencies. We also host annually the Golf Tournament and the KOCHAM Dinner Party to encourage socializing with members, governmental agencies, and media representatives. We also operate the Weekend Korean School, which is programmed for the children of our member executives as well as their Korean American peers. In addition, for our close cooperation with the Korean community, we provide an annual internship program for college students of second generation Korean community.

KOCHAM welcomes corporations, partnerships, associations and individuals who are interested in promoting business and trade links between Korea and the U.S. Why don't you experience the great potential we can offer towards the success of your business?

Regarding KOCHAM's affiliations, it maintains ongoing relationships with a wide range of business organizations with an interest in Korea. This includes the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), Korea International Trade Association (KITA), Korea Economic Institute of America(KEI), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Society, U.S.-Korea Business Council and the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM).

In addition, KOCHAM interacts with local, state, national and international business and economic development agencies, private corporations, academics, think tanks, non-profit and cultural organizations, and the media.
